We’re nothing without an idea. We don’t know what to do without an idea. And the idea tells us everything. So it’s common sense that ideas are super important. And I love the idea of catching ideas. And they’re out there, millions and millions of ideas, and we don’t know them until they enter the conscious mind. And then we know them.

INKLING is inspired by three powerful creative forces.

First, the Oxford Inklings – a collective of writers and thinkers (including Tolkien and C.S. Lewis) who gathered to share ideas, spark imagination and champion a unique kind of “original participation,” where stories weren’t just told but lived.

Second, the murmuration – nature’s most mesmerising display of fluid, synchronised movement, and a metaphor for what happens when ideas instinctively connect and beautifully align.

And third, the creative vision of David Lynch, whose powerful stories came not from logic, but from instinct and intuition. Like the Inklings, Lynch showed us that some of the most resonant ideas aren’t explained but felt – emerging from beneath the surface to stir, provoke, and move.

Together, these influences capture the essence of Inkling:
Creativity through connection.
Collaboration that elevates ideas.
And storytelling that doesn’t just inform… but transforms.
